The governor also inaugurated members of the Board of the Rivers State Housing and Property Development Authority.

The governor performed the swearing-in and inauguration at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House, Port Harcourt.

Speaking after the swearing-in and inauguration, Governor Wike urged the new appointees to see their appointments as opportunities to contribute to the development of the state.

He called on them to be totally loyal to the advancement of the people of Rivers State.

He advised the new appointees to be in touch with their constituencies to keep them abreast with the development of the state.

Governor Wike said the state government is working to amend the Pension Law to address the challenges with the Pension Scheme.

He charged the Rivers State Housing and Property Development Authority to ensure that they sanitize the housing sector.

Responding, the Chairman of the Rivers State Housing and Property Development Authority, Egurugwu assured that all the appointees will live up to the expectations of the governor.
