Liverpool have reportedly identified a possible replacement for Sadio Mane if the Senegal International were to leave Anfield at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
The Spanish giants are set to undergo a major overhaul in the European summer, following what has been a hugely disappointing season by the club’s lofty standards.
Mane has been in superb form for the Reds this season and has scored 20 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions thus far. His form has duly attracted strong interest from Real and particularly head coach Zinedine Zidane who is said to be a huge admirer of the former Southampton forward.
According to French publication L’Equipe, Liverpool are among several club’s monitoring Memphis Depay.
The Dutchman, who formerly plied his trade for Manchester United, has impressed for Lyon this season scoring eight goals and assisting a further 14 in 40 appearances for the Ligue 1 club across all competitions.
Reports suggest Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp could turn to Depay if Mane were to leave the club
